Pricing
Every custom piece is a little different. Some are simple, sturdy adventuring gear; others are full character pieces with shaping, tooling, dye work, hand stitching, fittings, and finishing details.
Because of that, commissions are priced based on three things: the materials needed, the time required to build the piece, and a modest allowance for shop overhead such as consumables, tools, finishing supplies, and design work.
Before work begins, I’ll provide an estimate so you know what to expect. I track the actual build time as the piece comes together, and if the work takes less time than estimated, the final price may come in lower. If it takes more time, I do not raise the price above the approved estimate unless the scope of the project changes.
A deposit is required to reserve materials and begin the build, with the remaining balance due when the piece is complete.
